# 2026 Palm oil scorecard

The palm oil sector is making progress, but gaps remain in demonstrating that sourcing protects forests, natural ecosystems, and respects human rights.

**This year’s scorecard provides a more comprehensive picture of the palm oil value chain.**

The 2026 assessment looks at both major palm oil buyers and the processors and traders that link producers to global markets. Together they provide a more comprehensive view of progress, gaps, and accountability across the sector.
